Publication Ethics and Publication Malpractice Statement
STATEMENT ON PUBLICATION ETHICS AND PUBLICATION MALPRACTICE
International Foundation for Management and Organisational Research (IFMOR), Wardha, Maharashtra, publishes International Journal of Management and Organisational Research (IJMOR) - a double-blind peer-reviewed journal dedicated to advancing management and organisational scholarship.
This statement outlines the ethical behavior expected from all parties involved in publishing: authors, editors, peer-reviewers, and publisher.
DUTIES OF EDITORS
Decision on Publication
The Editor-in-Chief and Managing Editor decide which articles, after double-blind peer review, merit publication. Decisions follow journal policies, Editorial Board guidance, and legal requirements (libel, copyright, plagiarism). Editors do not influence reviewers' independent judgments.
Fair Play
Manuscripts evaluated solely on intellectual merit, irrespective of authors' race, gender, sexual orientation, religion, ethnicity, citizenship, or political philosophy.
Confidentiality
Editors, staff, and editorial board must not disclose submitted manuscript information except to corresponding authors, reviewers, potential reviewers, advisers, and publisher.
Disclosure and Conflicts of Interest
Unpublished materials in submitted manuscripts cannot be used in personal research without authors' express written consent.
DUTIES OF REVIEWERS
Contribution of Double-Blind Peer Review
Reviewers assist editorial decisions and help authors improve papers. Anonymity maintained: reviewers' identities known only to Editor-in-Chief/Managing Editor; author details stripped from manuscripts.
Promptness
Reviewers unable to review promptly or lacking qualification must notify editors and withdraw.
Confidentiality
Manuscripts treated as confidential documents; not discussed except as authorized by editors.
Standards of Objectivity
Reviews conducted objectively. Personal criticism unacceptable. Views supported by clear arguments.
Acknowledgement of Sources
Reviewers identify uncited relevant work and substantial similarities with other publications.
Disclosure of Conflicts of Interest
Reviewers recuse from manuscripts where competitive, collaborative, or personal relationships exist with authors, institutions, or companies.
DUTIES OF AUTHORS
Reporting Standards
Original research presents accurate work accounts and objective significance discussion. Sufficient detail enables replication. Fraudulent statements unethical.
Data Access and Retention
Authors provide raw data for editorial review and retain data post-publication.
Originality and Plagiarism
Authors ensure entirely original work with proper citation/quotation. Plagiarism (passing off others' work, copying/paraphrasing without attribution, claiming others' results) constitutes unethical behavior.
Multiple Submissions
Authors avoid publishing essentially identical research across journals. Concurrent submissions unethical.
Acknowledgement of Sources
Proper credit given to influential publications. Private information used only with explicit permission.
Authorship Criteria
Authorship limited to substantial contributors:
(a) Significant contributions to conception/design/execution/data/analysis
(b) Drafting/critical revision
(c) Final approval and submission agreement
Technical support acknowledged separately (with permission). Corresponding author verifies co-author appropriateness and final approval.
Funding Disclosure
All funding sources acknowledged.
Disclosure of Conflicts of Interest
Financial/substantive conflicts disclosed that might influence results/interpretation.
Errors in Published Works
Authors promptly notify editors of significant errors for correction/retraction.
Human/Animal Subjects
Unusual hazards clearly identified.
DUTIES OF THE PUBLISHER
Handling Unethical Behavior
IFMOR investigates scientific misconduct, plagiarism, or fraud, cooperating with editors for clarification, errata, or retraction as needed. Prevents knowing publication of unethical research.
Preservation and Access
Permanent scholarly preservation through digital archives and organizational partnerships ensures content accessibility.
All submissions undergo plagiarism detection. Violations result in immediate rejection and blacklisting.
