About the Foundation

Greetings from IFMOR,

The International Foundation for Management and Organisational Research (IFMOR) is a research-oriented academic foundation incorporated under the Companies Act, 2013 (Section 8), Government of India. The foundation has been established with the objective of promoting responsible academic scholarship, strengthening interdisciplinary research, and fostering meaningful collaboration among scholars, institutions, and knowledge communities at national and international levels.

In the contemporary global academic environment, the advancement of knowledge increasingly depends on interdisciplinary engagement and collaborative research efforts. Recognising this evolving academic landscape, the Foundation seeks to create a credible platform where scholars, researchers, and practitioners from diverse academic backgrounds can collectively contribute to research, innovation, and knowledge dissemination.

The Foundation intends to facilitate academic dialogue across disciplines such as management, commerce, engineering, social sciences, innovation studies, and organisational research, encouraging scholarly engagement that addresses emerging global challenges in education, governance, industry, and society.

Vision
The vision of the Foundation is to develop a globally respected academic platform that advances responsible research, interdisciplinary knowledge creation, and international scholarly collaboration, contributing to the development of future-ready educational and research ecosystems.

Mission

The mission of the Foundation is to:

• Promote high-quality academic research and responsible scholarly publishing

• Encourage interdisciplinary research collaboration among universities and scholars

• Facilitate knowledge exchange between academia, industry, and society

• Support emerging researchers and academic communities

• Strengthen research culture and ethical academic practices

• Promote international academic dialogue addressing contemporary global challenges

Objectives:

The Foundation has been established with the following academic and societal objectives:

To create credible academic platforms for research dissemination through peer-reviewed journals and publications.
To organise conferences, seminars, and workshops that foster scholarly dialogue and intellectual exchange.
To promote collaboration among universities, research institutions, and global academic communities.
To support research addressing contemporary organisational, educational, and societal challenges.
To encourage interdisciplinary engagement across management, engineering, social sciences, and emerging fields.

Contribution to Society and the Education Sector:

The Foundation recognises that academic research should extend beyond theoretical discussions and contribute meaningfully to societal development. Through its academic initiatives, the Foundation intends to support knowledge-driven social responsibility activities, including research awareness programmes, academic skill development initiatives, and knowledge-sharing platforms for students, scholars, and academic institutions. The Foundation also seeks to encourage the practical application of research insights in addressing real-world challenges in education, organisational development, and community advancement.

By integrating research, education, and social responsibility, the Foundation aims to contribute to strengthening the role of academic knowledge in building informed and responsible societies.

Academic Publishing Initiative:

As part of its efforts to promote research dissemination, the Foundation is in the process of developing its peer-reviewed scholarly publication titled:

“International Journal of Management and Organisational Research”

The journal aims to provide a credible academic platform for researchers, academicians, and practitioners to publish original research addressing contemporary issues in:

Management and organisational studies
Commerce and business research
Innovation and entrepreneurship
Technology and organisational transformation
Interdisciplinary research connecting management, engineering, and social sciences

The publication will follow a rigorous peer-review process and maintain internationally recognised academic publishing standards.

Leadership and Institutional Development:

The Foundation is being developed under the academic leadership and guidance of Dr. Sudhakar Shinde, Registrar of Ajeenkya D Y Patil University, Pune, and Director of the Foundation. A metallurgical engineer from Visvesvaraya National Institute of Technology, Nagpur, and a postgraduate in Personnel Management and Industrial Relations from the Tata Institute of Social Sciences, Mumbai, the Director has more than twenty-five years of experience in higher education administration and institutional development.

Dr. Sudhakar Shinde is known for his effective leadership in higher education administration and institutional development. An alumnus of VNIT Nagpur and TISS Mumbai, he has served at leading institutions including BIT Mesra (RAK–UAE), Academic City University (Ghana), NMIMS University Mumbai, Datta Meghe Institute of Higher Education and Research Wardha and Symbiosis Skills and Professional University (Pune).

Academic Coordination:

The academic initiatives and institutional development of the Foundation are being actively coordinated by Dr. Pankaj Chaudhari, an academic engaged in higher education teaching and research.

Working under the mentorship and guidance of the Director, the academic coordinator has been closely involved in conceptualising the Foundation’s research initiatives, facilitating academic collaborations, and supporting scholarly publishing activities. His international academic engagement focuses on strengthening research culture, encouraging interdisciplinary scholarship, and developing platforms that enable meaningful academic interaction among scholars and institutions.

Advisory and Editorial Structure:

To ensure strong academic guidance and maintain high scholarly standards, the Foundation is constituting an Advisory Board and Editorial Board consisting of distinguished scholars, academicians, and institutional leaders from India and abroad.

These scholars will guide the academic development of the Foundation’s initiatives and contribute to strengthening global scholarly collaboration.

Invitation for Academic Association:

Distinguished scholars and academic leaders are warmly invited to associate with this initiative as members of the Advisory Board or Editorial Board, contributing their intellectual guidance and scholarly experience to the development of a credible international academic platform.
