Objective of the Initiative

In alignment with national financial inclusion goals, IFMOR initiated this workshop to bridge the knowledge gap in rural communities. The core objectives include:

Promoting core financial literacy (savings, budgeting, and banking systems).
Introducing entrepreneurship education to encourage self-reliance and local business creation among rural youth.
Cultivating responsible financial decision-making to protect vulnerable populations from predatory lending and financial fraud.

Activity Highlights & Implementation

The workshop was conducted in an interactive, open-air community setup in Kharangna to ensure maximum accessibility and comfort for the locals.

Expert-Led Sessions: A qualified trainer from IFMOR utilized digital presentations and simplified visual aids to break down complex financial concepts like digital payments, government subsidy schemes, and micro-entrepreneurship.
Interactive Learning: Attending students and youth were provided with educational kits, notebooks, and learning materials to actively engage in budgeting exercises during the session.
Community Engagement: The event saw diverse participation, including young women, local students, and village elders, fostering a community-wide dialogue on financial planning.

Key Outcomes & Future Roadmap

Immediate Impact:
Over 40+ rural youths and students successfully completed the basic awareness module, gaining foundational knowledge on how to start small business ventures and manage personal credit.
Sustainability: IFMOR plans to establish a local digital help-desk or follow-up counseling camp in the Arvi tehsil to assist these youths in opening bank accounts and registering for entrepreneurship schemes (such as MUDRA loans).
